About This List

The BeInCrypto Institutional 100 – Autonomous Agentic Payments (2026 Long List) highlights companies that are allowing AI programs to manage and use cryptocurrency. These firms are building systems where AI can hold crypto assets, access digital wallets, authorize transactions, and make payments automatically, with very little need for human oversight.

Our services cover a wide range of payment systems, including the underlying networks, platforms for issuing stablecoins, complete payment solutions, systems for finalizing transactions, methods for verifying identities, and products that allow easy access to these systems, like card payments. We do not currently support AI agent frameworks that don’t include built-in payment processing.

Methodology

As part of my research for the BeInCrypto Institutional 100, I’ve been evaluating this category using Track B of the methodology. This means the final score is calculated with three key components: 30% is based on measurable data, 50% comes from scoring by our Expert Council, and the remaining 20% is derived from information the company has publicly shared.

As a researcher evaluating these projects, I focused on seven key areas. First, I looked at how much activity was happening – specifically, the transaction volume running on agentic rails. Then, I assessed how well each project integrated with different AI frameworks. Wallet programmability and the controls in place to manage it were also crucial. Beyond that, I considered how many developers were actively using the platform, its security measures and compliance with regulations, and the financial health and long-term potential of the project. Finally, I paid close attention to the level of innovation demonstrated throughout the award period.

The increased importance given to expert opinions is due to the newness of agentic payments. While some platforms have on-chain data, many are too recent for standard financial measures to accurately show how significant they are in the market.

We confirmed the data by checking official records, reviewed financial statements, analyzed blockchain information, examined metrics from the x402 Foundation, studied company earnings reports, considered partnership news, and referenced statements made directly by the companies themselves.
