What ho, chaps! Gather round and prepare to be dazzled by the latest brainwave from YoungHoon Kim, the chap who claims his IQ is a staggering 276. Quite the number, what? Apparently, this old bean has taken to X (formerly Twitter, don’t you know) to drop five crypto predictions, with XRP at the heart of his masterplan. Bold stuff, eh?
Old Kim, a South Korean fellow with a penchant for the digital dosh, has amassed quite the following on social media. He’s forever banging on about Bitcoin, XRP, and the like, as if he’s the Oracle of Bloomsbury. Can’t say I’m not entertained, though.
Kim Crowns Himself the “Son of XRP”
In a flurry of posts that would make Jeeves raise an eyebrow, Kim proclaimed himself the “Son of XRP,” declaring he was “born to send XRP to $100.” Dash it all, the chap’s confidence is as boundless as Bertie Wooster’s appetite for trouble. “No one can stop me,” he trilled, as if he were off to bag a brace of partridges.
I am the SON OF XRP.
Born to send XRP to $100.
No one can stop me.

This isn’t his first rodeo, mind. He’s been banging the XRP drum for ages, predicting it’ll hit $100 within five years. Ambitious, what? Especially when it’s currently bobbing about at $1.32, down 1.67% in the last 24 hours. A 7,475% leap? That’s a taller order than getting Aunt Agatha to approve of one’s latest fiancée.
But XRP wasn’t the only coin in his sights. He declared “altseason” was upon us, predicted meme coins would pump first, and had the audacity to call BTC “basically a meme coin.” I say, steady on, old chap. That’s fighting talk.
I think BTC is basically a memecoin.

Bold Claims, But Is He All Hat and No Cattle?
Now, Kim’s predictions wouldn’t raise so many eyebrows if it weren’t for his claimed IQ of 276. He’s branded himself the world’s smartest man, don’t you know. But, I say, there’s a spot of trouble brewing. His January 6 prediction that Bitcoin would hit $100,000 within 48 hours turned out to be as reliable as a wet umbrella. BTC dropped from $93,747 to $91,099. Ouch.
His track record’s a bit patchy, too. He said XRP would hit a new all-time high by late 2025-didn’t happen. And his $300,000 BTC prediction for early 2026? Well, let’s just say it’s still waiting in the wings. A VICE investigation in July 2025 even suggested his IQ score might be more hot air than hot stuff. Chris Leek of Mensa called it “nonsense,” and Australian psychometrician Jason Betts reckoned his score was closer to 175. Still impressive, but not quite the 276 he’s touting.
Kim’s supporters, including the GIGA Society Professional, have leapt to his defense, claiming the 276 figure uses a standard deviation of 24, equivalent to 210 on the SD15 scale. But a supporting pre-print released in August 2025 was later withdrawn. Hmm, smells fishier than a kipper at high tea.
So, there you have it, chaps. YoungHoon Kim, the self-proclaimed “Son of XRP,” is either a visionary or a chap with a vivid imagination. Either way, he’s certainly keeping things interesting. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to see if Jeeves can make heads or tails of this crypto business. Pip pip!
