Cryptocurrency’s Tragic Ballet: BTC and XRP Waltz into the Red

Yesterday’s dip below $66,000, the first since last Friday, was a somber reminder of the market’s fickle nature. Though it has since rebounded to $67,000, the damage is done. Its market capitalization, once a towering giant, now stands below $1.340 trillion, its dominance over the altcoins a mere 56.5% on CG.

Altcoins’ Chorus of Woe

The altcoins, a chorus of lamentations, are bathed in red once more. Ethereum’s brief foray above $2,000 was but a fleeting dream, and it now resides below that threshold. XRP and SOL, the most woeful of the lot, have each lost nearly 5%, their spirits as diminished as their values.

DOGE, ADA, BNB, LINK, and CC join the mournful procession, each shedding up to 4%. ZEC, ever the dramatic one, has plunged by 8.5% to $260. And let us not forget M and Hash, whose losses exceed 10%, a tragic denouement to their once-promising narratives.

The total crypto market cap, a barometer of collective despair, has shed another $50 billion, now standing at $2.370 trillion on CG.
