That’s definitely not his.

Ripple’s former Chief Technology Officer confirmed that an Instagram account claiming to belong to the Ripple CEO was fake, stating it was not actually run by him.

This was clearly a cryptocurrency scam. Fraudsters pretend to be well-known people online, offering free crypto through social media. They trick people into sending money with the promise of receiving even more in return.

Warnings issued

Ripple is actively and strongly fighting against cryptocurrency scams, demonstrating a serious dedication to stopping them.

As a crypto investor, I’ve seen a lot of warnings from Ripple lately, and they’re really emphasizing that they *never* ask anyone to send them XRP. Basically, they’re telling us to be super careful about scams – especially those using fake livestreams, giveaways, or even deepfake videos pretending to be from Ripple or about XRP. It’s good to know they’re looking out for us, but it also means scammers are getting more sophisticated.

Ripple has announced that it doesn’t have an official Telegram channel, so any claiming to be official is likely a scam. Ripple employees will never reach out to you for support or ask for personal details, login information, or money through unofficial channels.

Please remember that Ripple employees – even the CEO – will never ask you to send money, share your wallet details, or participate in any investment opportunities. This is important for the XRP community to keep in mind.
