Crypto.com achieves ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System. Or, as we call it, “Artificially Intelligent Management of Systemic Overconfidence.”

Crypto.com announced on February 16, 2026, that it has somehow managed to acquire ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), making it the first digital asset platform to achieve this dubious honor. This certification now proudly complements Crypto.com’s existing security certifications, which include ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO 22301, PCI:DSS, and SOC 2 Type 2. Because nothing says “trust us” like alphabet soup.

The ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard requires organizations to do things like “establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve AI risk management covering ethics, transparency, accountability, and societal impact.” Crypto.com claims this certification “reinforces its commitment to secure, transparent AI deployment,” which is impressive considering AI’s last major deployment involved a chatbot that wrote a haiku about blockchain and then cried.
