BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), ever the social butterfly, scooped up $405.5M-its largest inflow since Aug. 14-and now boasts total net inflows of $61.376 billion. This surge coincided with Bitcoin breaching $119,000, a 4% gain that would make a penguin blush. 🐧

According to Bloomberg’s Eric Balchunas, IBIT has entered the top 20 ETFs by assets for the first time, amassing $90.7B. Since its January 2024 debut, IBIT has soared 175%. One might say it’s “crypto’s most improved student,” though we suspect it’s cheating on the final exam. 📚

Balchunas mused that IBIT’s ascent to the top 10 ETFs may be “just round the corner,” with December 2026 as a potential target. “Someone asked me how long till Top 10. It is $50 billion away. If the last 12 months are repeated, it may not take long. It took in $40 billion over the past year and gained 85%. That said, those other ETFs are growing too so I don’t know. If forced, I’d set the over/under for Christmas 2026,” he declared, with the gravitas of a man who once bet on the outcome of a hedgehog race. 🐾

On Wednesday, Bitcoin’s 4% rise came just short of a top 10 daily performance in 2025. Data from Velo suggests that Wednesdays are, on average, the most bullish day for Bitcoin over the past year, while Thursdays are the most bearish. Perhaps the market simply hates office small talk. 📉
